It is a common belief that going to therapy means sitting across from a clinical professional who is analyzing and evaluating our every word.  The place we have come to get relief, comfort, and healing could feel overwhelmingly uncomfortable.  And we wonder why people are hesitant to come in!

Here at Centers for Integrated Wellness~Henderson, therapy is a fresh, welcoming experience.  I believe that each one of us has the gifts and talents to heal our emotional wounds, which want to do their jobs in their own authenic way.

A therapy session here at Centers for Intgrated Wellness~Henderson is 60-75 minutes long, as doing depth-work takes a bit more time than the typical 45-50 minute allotment.  A longer session allows enough time to access your system, gain insights, and heal at an emotionally and spiritually significant level.

Services include but are not limited to the following interventions:

Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS):

Develop a deep understanding of the different forces that direct our behavior, thoughts, and emotions.  Recognizing that we have conflicting internal “parts,” IFS helps to heal wounded parts, resolve inner conflicts and polarizations, and cultivate a strong, integrated and grounded sense of Self.

Creative/Expressive Arts Therapy:

Incorporate drama, painting, drawing, music, and movement in accordance with talk therapy, encourgaging exploration of responses, reactions, and insights during the creative process.

Spiritual Psychotherapy:

Weave together the intellectual, emotional, and spiritual realms of our intra- and interpersonal worlds while exploring the inner light that wants to be shared in this world.

Mindfulness-based therapy:

Slow down the internal chaos and give the tools to respond rather than react to life’s challenges, bringing centeredness and clarity to daily life.

Play Therapy:

Construct an external world in play therapy using tools such as sand tray therapy, finger puppets, games, and story-telling. The process acts as a reflection of the inner world and allows the opportunity to resolve conflicts, remove obstacles, and gain self-acceptance.
